
A Harmonious and Joyful Beginning: United Together for Celebration of the Year of The Snake
A grand Chinese New Year celebration was held at the Main Hall of the Kuala Lumpur and Selangor Chinese Assembly Hall (KLSCAH) on 29 January 2025. This year’s event brought together representatives from various civil society organisations. The celebration was graced by the presence of Selangor Menteri Besar, Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari, whose arrival set the tone for the festivities. A lively lion dance performance marked an energetic opening, followed by the traditional lou sang tossing ceremony, which further ignited the festive spirit. The elegant melodies of the Guzheng and Erhu added a rich cultural dimension to the occasion.
This joyful gathering welcomed guests and leaders from across civil society to celebrate the Year of the Snake together, showcasing a shared vision of unity and harmony. In addition to an abundance of festive delicacies and warm greetings, the graceful performances of the Guzheng and Erhu brought an added touch of cultural charm. Amidst this heart-warming Chinese New Year atmosphere, everyone came together in celebration, revelling in the joy of reunion and the spirit of unity.
